Bruce Reynolds was a man of few words and he never asked for much. He loved horses, but he was passionate for one particular philly named Zenyatta.
For those who are not familiar with Zenyatta, she was the only philly to beat all the mares in the Breeders’ Cup Classic (The Super Bowl of horse racing)
When she raced the kid came out of Bruce. He was a whole different person on the days she raced. Zenyatta would always break out from the gate dead last and Bruce would start yelling right from the get go “Why, Why, Why” and then the magic would happen. One by one she would start passing horses, until she passed them all. Zenyatta had 19 consecutive wins and only 1 loss, on her last race.
Bruce’s love for Zenyatta is why his One More Moment to meet Zenyatta.
On May 16th, we visited Lane’s End Farm, one of the world’s premier Thoroughbred farms to deliver Bruce his moment.
Zenyatta’s owners, Jerry and Ann Moss, graciously invited Bruce, his mother Donna, and Bruce’s close friend, Mike, to meet this thoroughbred legend.
We’re very excited and thankful to the people at Lane’s End and to Jerry and Ann Moss for their support and generosity in helping us deliver Bruce’s One More Moment.
